For the Clark County Firefighters of Local 1908, service doesn’t end when the last alarm sounds. Through the Proud to Rescue Benevolent Fund, that commitment lives on—supporting retired and disabled firefighters, their families, and the Southern Nevada community long after the gear is hung up.

Founded in 2013, the fund has grown from helping members in times of hardship to driving powerful community impact. From raising nearly $49,000 for Route 91 first responders, to donating over $378,000 to local charities, cancer treatment centers, and military support organizations, Proud to Rescue is a constant force of good.

One of its most meaningful projects came during a tour of a new children’s cancer center in Las Vegas. “We were there to explore designing a firefighter-themed exam room,” recalls chairman Raymond LeClair, “but what we left with was a deep sense of awe. The work being done there is incredible—and the joy our involvement brought reminded us how much impact we can have just by showing up.”

The organization also invests in the future through 15 annual scholarships, including awards honoring fallen firefighters and new opportunities for members’ children.

Proud to Rescue stands on three values: consistency, sincerity, and presence. They don’t just give—they show up, stay involved, and continue to serve when others have moved on.

Because for these firefighters, the mission never really ends.
They’re not just proud to serve. They’re Proud to Rescue.
