PFFN Benevolent Association

Protecting Heroes

For more than six decades, the PFFN Benevolent Association has protected the people who protect Nevada. Founded in 1960, PFFN represents thousands of active and retired firefighters across the state — advancing professional training, championing legislation that safeguards emergency personnel, and giving Nevada’s firefighters a united voice. The mission has never changed: those who answer the call for their communities deserve an organization that will answer the call for them.

That commitment doesn't stop at the firehouse door. Through the PFFN Benevolent Association, injured and ill firefighters, and their families, receive support the moment hardship strikes, PFFN also keeps alive the stores of Nevada's fallen firefighters, including volunteer firefighter Bryant Whitmore, who ran back into danger to save fellow firefighter Arthur Sunday during the 1926 Clear Creek fire. The Renner Memorial Engine Project carries that same spirit forward. Designed to honor 89 Nevada firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, it will carry their names into community events, fundraisers and educations programs across the state.

PFFN’s legacy isn't defined by one moment, but by decades of advocacy, solidarity and service. By protecting firefighters, supporting their families and preserving the memory of the fallen, PFFN makes sure Nevada’s heroes are never left to face hardship, and never forgotten.
