Turning Tables advocates for equity in hospitality through training, mentorship, and education for historically underrepresented communities in New Orleans, creating career pathways and ensuring hospitality reflects the communities it serves.
Few embody that mission like Erron Thomas. For Erron, service has never started or ended with the military. It is the thread connecting every chapter of his life. Raised in New Orleans through Katrina and COVID, he learned that strong communities are built by people who show up for one another. Today, as a National Guard service member and hospitality professional, he treats every shift, every event, and every guest as an opportunity to serve. He pours his energy into building Black-owned spaces that set the standard for excellence and community impact in New Orleans.
βWhether Iβm in uniform or behind the bar, the mission is the same: leave people and my community better than I found them.β
